Tarallucci e Vino

With the beginning of a head cold coming on, all I wanted was to head home for the old standard Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup and my bed. Instead, the Nouveau Native girls dragged me out to Tarallucci e Vino at 15 East 18th Street for a treat promised to cure what ailed me. Expecting chicken noodle or even chicken with rice, when chicken with crepes arrived I was intrigued. The rich, golden chicken broth enrobed delicate parmigian crepes, creating a wonderfully intoxicating aroma. By the end of dinner I felt well enough to dig into a wonderful gelato.


This inexpensive Italian coffee is destined to be a West Village favorite for a long time to come.
