Central Park Zoo

Many people stop visiting the Central Park Zoo when the weather gets cold. But, with smaller crowds, no bugs, and animals showing off their amazing winter coats, winter can be a great time to visit. Throughout the holiday season, visitors will be able to share the traditional gift opening with the Polar Bears who enjoy unwrapping their turkey treats. Commemorate Kwanza Festival

This year, Jacob Javitz Convention Center plays host to the Commemerate Kwanza Festival. The weeklong festival, which celebrates Africian-American culture and positive messages for the community features Africain food, exploration of Afro-Caribian and Amercian traditions and columinates with e gift-giving celebration.
