Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit

Whether you are a patron of the arts or simply know what you like when you see it, the annual Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit is the place to experience some of the finest offerings from local (and not so local) artists. Over 250 artist took place at last years exhibit, which has been running in Greenwich Village for more than 70 years.

Great Five Boro Bike Tour

Sort of a New York City marathon for bicycle riders, the Great Five Boro Bike Tour extends some 42 miles through the five boroughs in what is the largest cycling event in the United States. While there is a race element, most people who take place come along to enjoy riding at a leisurely pace through areas that they may never have before experienced.

International Food Festival

May in New York City brings more than just flowers, it also brings the annual International Food Festival. With hundreds of resturatnts, caterers, vendors, and retailers participating, this is one of the most popular street fairs in the City. Spring Dachshund Festival

Whether you find people that treat their pets like children charming or loony, there is no mistaking the spectacle that is the Annual Spring Dachshund Festival. Each year the Dachshund Friendship Club plays host in Washington Square Park, to a huge party for pets and their people.
