As much as I love this crazy town, there are warm summer nights when I miss the wide open spaces of a more rural upbringing. Something about leaning back and looking up at the stars reminds me of a miss spent youth. If you are missing starry nights, check out the RoofTop Films Series sponsored by Chelsea Piers. International, independent, and alternative films are shown to small groups (200 or less) on roof tops throughout the city with live music featured before the show. The small groups are a great way to meet other interesting folk and the films are all the more spectacular when viewed under a blank of stars with the lights of the city twinkling all around.
