Where can I bowl in Manhattan?

When one thinks of bowling, New York City is not generally the first place that springs to mind. But that is a shame since there are three fine facilities right here in Manhattan.

Leisure Time Bowling Center and Sports Bar in Hell’s Kitchen offers 30 modern lanes, a sports bar and bistro. One of the most popular places for corporate team building events, Leisure Time is also a favorite of families and dates. Reasonable lane fees and of course bowling shoe rentals means that this is a great place for a date or to hang out with friends.

300 New York at Chelsea Piers is one of the finest facilities in the US. With state-of-the-art, plasma screen, scoring, and top of the line music system, the ultra modern 40 lane facility is part night club, part bowling alley. 300 New York also offers an 8 lane private VIP bowling area with private bar for exclusive parties. Wonderful grill food, lane side bar and dining, and no kiddies after 9, makes this a real destination.

Bowlmor Lanes has been a New York institution since the mid 1930’s and has played host to movie stars and famous faces every since. A multi-million dollar renovation in the late 1990’s means that this Greenwich Village favorite is still the place to go. If you can’t figure out what to do on a Monday night, head over for “Night Strike” the adults only 10pm-2am bowl/disco party.
